Not only are the Portland Trail Blazersnot involved in any trade scenarios, they're also out of thefree-agent market.
When the Portland Trail Blazers waivedEarl Barron yesterday and rewarded Chris Johnson with the last rosterspot, that put the Blazers at 15 guaranteed contracts for the season.
If the Blazers were looking to addanother player via free-agency, they would have to eat a contract inorder for that to occur.
The Blazers' acting GM Chad Buchananspoke with CSNNW.com and says the organization is fine with where theteam is currently constructed and is out of the free-agent hunt.
I think we like where we're at rightnow with our 15 guys, Buchanan told CSNNW.com. We're notpursuing anything at this point. We like our group and we like ourchemistry we got with this group. We're going to roll with this.
Joel Przybilla has been rumored to bean option for the Blazers before they added two veteran big men inKurt Thomas and Craig Smith. At this time, Buchanan says Przybilla isnot a point of focus.
He's not an option right nowBuchanan said. Obviously our stance can change if something comesup at the last minute, but we're not pursuing anything at thismoment.
Update on tonight's game against theUtah JazzMarcus Camby is out due to a sore leftknee. I hear it's nothing serious. Expect Kurt Thomas to get thestart.
