Chicago - ThePortland Trail Blazers are in desperate need for a point guard andthey have two lottery picks to address that need.

6-2Damian Lillard out of Weber State feels he's that guy and says he'shearing he could fall in the lap of the Trail Blazers at No. 6.

And,he's excited about it.

Ilike their team, Lillard told CSNNW.com. I know they haveLaMarcus Aldridge who's an All-Star. I think it would be a greatsituation to be able to play with him.

Lillardbreaks down the Trail Blazers' roster and can envision himselfspreading the floor for the Trail Blazers' All-Star big man.

WesMatthews and Nicolas Batum, I think they got a good team," Lillard. "A goodnucleus. And I think If I had the opportunity to go to Portland, Ithink I could really help them."

Froma point guard position, to be able to knock down shots becauseLaMarcus Aldridge is going to demand a double-team in the games and Ithink if it's a guy like me out there...I think it would allow him toplay one-on-one sometimes. (If) they want to double him, then we'llhave guys around him that can knock down shots.

If you think Lillard is moving too fast with his quotes, he's also not slowing down when it comes to his comparisons to other point guards in this draft class.

"I think I'm the best point guard in this class," Lillard said. "Not taking away anything from anybody else, I'm just that confident in my ability."

Inmost mock drafts, Lillard is seen as going anywhere from 6-12. Executives here in Chicago say the kid can score, but thequestion is if he can run the point guard position at the next level.

Lillardsays he can.

Iwas asked to score in college, Lillard said. I'm naturally apass-first player. Playing point guard isn't an issue. That's what Iam. A point guard.

Lillarddeclared for the NBA Draft after completing his junior season andaveraged 24.5 points per game, 5 rebounds per game, 4 assist per gameand conquered his second Big Sky MVP award last year.

Lillardsays he has a workout scheduled with the Trail Blazers next week and former Trail Blazer Armon Johnson and he, are great friends.
