ThePortland Trail Blazers are expected to conduct more interviews thisweek for their open general manager position.
TrailBlazers president Larry Miller says it's possible that he and ownerPaul Allen could sit down with a couple of candidates this week.
Yesterday, the Orlando Magic fired head coach Stan Van Gundy and parted wayswith GM Otis Smith. There's talk that the Magic will look to bring inIndiana Pacers GM David Morway and former New Orleans Hornets GM JeffBower for a chat regarding their available GM seat.
Morwayand Bower are the only two candidates who have made it to the TrailBlazers final interview stage sitting down with Allen.
Now,with other teams likely pursuing the Trail Blazers candidates, Millersays they won't let other situations dictate how they land their nextGM.
Wewill continue our process in the same manner, Miller said. We'regoing to stay with our process.
Miller also added that they're not closing the door to candidates they've interviewed in the past, which will expand the list of potential candidates.
Other GM news:

Hoopsworld.comreported Mullin was in the loop of potential hires, but that samesource said the Trail Blazers will not consider Mullin this timearound.
