The Portland Trail Blazers forwardNicolas Batum is up for an extension and says that money won't bethe ultimate factor in making his decision.
Batum joined the set of Rip City Liveon Comcast SportsNet Northwest, and said he's a basketball player first and playing time would be themain factor in signing an extension.
CSNNW.com spoke with Batum's agentBouna Nddiaye, and he said he's meeting with Chad Buchanan in SanAntonio this Friday to have their second negotiating session. Theywould meet for their third meeting on Jan. 23 when the Blazers returnfrom their six-game road trip.
The Blazers have untilJan. 25 to sign Batum to an extension, if an agreement is not reachedby then, Batum will become a restricted free agent at season's end.
