Hawaii Bowl win "special"
Oregon State cornerback Rashaad Reynolds has accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Game, the school announced Tuesday.
Reynolds, a four-year letterman, was the MVP of last month’s Hawaii Bowl. The Beavers beat the Boise State Broncos 38-23 on Christmas Eve. Reynolds returned two fumbles for touchdowns in that game.
As a co-captain this past season, the Pacoima, CA native started the last 38 games of his career compiling a total of 218 tackles and 10 interceptions and was named to the Pac-12 Second Team.
Reynolds will be the first Beaver to play in the Shrine Game since Brandin Hardin in 2011 and is the 98th player overall to represent the Beavers.
The game, which will be played in St. Petersburg, Fla. on January 18th and will be televised by the NFL Network beginning at 1 p.m. PST.
