Five Blazers score in double figures, maul Grizzlies 105-98

The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies for the first time this season by a score of 105-98 Sunday night at the Moda Center with Memphis taking the season series 2-1.

Portland (48-27) has now won three straight games.

LaMarcus Aldridge had it clicking on the offensive end, shooting 50 percent or higher for the first time in a full game since Feb. 12. He 28 points on 10-of-20. Wesley Matthews scored 15 points and pulled down five boards. Mo Williams torched the Grizzles for 15 points off the bench.

Damian Lillard instilled 10 of his 13 points in the third quarter and also distributed five assists.

The Trail Blazers’ bench outscored their counterparts 30-28.

Zach Randolph provided 21 points and seven rebounds for Memphis (43-30) in a losing effort. Marc Gasol finished with 20 points, five rebounds and three assists. Mike Conley had 16 points and nine assists without a single turnover.

Portland’s next opponent is a road matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.
