CJ McCollum speaks following activation
CJ McCollum has been activated and is listed as probable for the Blazers road game Tuesday night in Sacramento.
CSN Blazers Insider Chris Haynes reported on McCollum's activation Monday morning.
The Trail Blazers later announced McCollum as "probable".
Prior to playing in his first NBA game, the Blazers wanted McCollum to play with the Trail Blazers D-League affiliate, the Idaho Stampede, scoring 13 points, six assists, six rebounds and two steals in just 17 minutes off of the bench.
McCollum followed up his debut with a 24 point performance in 24 minutes of action in an overtime win for the Stampede.
After the game, McCollum said he felt great and that he's ready to make his NBA debut with Portland.
According to Chris Haynes, the plan is to bring McCollum along slowly being that Portland is out to an impressive 26-8 start.
McCollum was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 10th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. The LeHigh graduate averaged 21 points, 3 assists and 4 rebounds in five games during the Las Vegas Summer League.
