The Portland Trail Blazers extended their home winning streak to seven by defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 89-85.
Nicolas Batum led the Trail Blazers with 22 points, seven rebounds and eight assist. In Batum's last seven games, he is averaging seven assist per game. Damian Lillard finished with 20 points, but failed to record at least one assist for the first time in his NBA career.
LaMarcusAldridge contributed 16 points to go along with fiverebounds and four assist. JJ Hickson got back to his double-double ways going for 16 points and 13 rebounds.Meyers Leonard left the game with 9:01 remaining in the fourth quarter after he came down from grabbing a rebound and sprained his right ankle. He stayed on the floor for a while before being helped to the locker room. He would not return to the game.
Jrue Holiday led all scores with 29 points. He also flirted with a triple-double, grabbing nine rebounds and dishing out eight assist.
The Trail Blazers will now embark on their four-game road trip beginning with the New York Knicks on Jan. 1.
