Lillard: Don't take anything away from Warriors
OAKLAND -- Stephen Curry leads the Golden State Warriors past the Portland Trail Blazers 103-88 at Oracle Arena, tying the season-series at one game apiece.
Curry scored a game-high 38 points, pulled down seven rebounds and dished out eight assists for Golden State (27-18). Klay Thompson added 17 points although it took him 23 attempts to do so.
Portland (33-12) shot 33 percent from the field. The game got out of hand for them in the third after shooting 15 percent on three-of-19 shooting. One side will likely say they just missed shots while the other will praise their defense.
LaMarcus Aldridge had his worst outing of the season with 10 points on two-of-14 shooting to go along with 10 rebounds. David Lee, who had 17 points and 11 rebounds, had a lot to do Aldridge’s performance.
Wesley Matthews kept up his stellar play with a team-high 21 points. Damian Lillard provided 16 points. Robin Lopez came close to a double-double – 10 points, nine boards. Thomas Robinson grabbed a team-high 11 rebound off the bench.
Portland’s next game is a home matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies.
