Duke center Mason Plumlee will work out for the Portland Trail Blazers on June 19, his agent Mark Bartelstein informed CSNNW.com.
Plumlee, 23, played four years of competitive ball in the ACC and is coming off of his best collegiate season putting up 17.1 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.4 blocks in 34.7 minutes a game.
At 7-0, he plays above the rim, is capable of putting the ball on the floor and runs the court extremely well for someone of his size. He has an NBA-ready physique which should translate to him being an immediate contributor in the league from start.
In most mock drafts, Plumlee is being viewed as a late lottery pick. The Trail Blazers currently have one true center on its roster in Meyers Leonard who just completed his rookie season.
The Trail Blazers hold picks No. 10, 39, 40 and 45.
