Nolan Smith: Thoughts on career game

The Portland Trail Blazers get the second game of a home-and-home matchup by defeating the Utah Jazz 105-99 at the Rose Garden.

Damian Lillard led the Trail Blazers (24-23) with 23 points and eight assists. JJ Hickson collected his 26th double-double of the season by scoring 21 points and pulling down 11 boards.

LaMarcus Aldridge posted a double-double as he went for 18 points and 11 rebounds. Nicolas Batum flirted with a triple-double posting numbers of 12 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.

With Ronnie Price out with a right ankle injury, Nolan Smith had to fill in as the backup point guard and he did so adequately on his way to a season-high 13 points on five-for-seven from the floor in 18 minutes.

Wesley Matthews suited up, but wasn't able to go due to his sprained right ankle. Rookie Victor Claver started in his place and managed three points on 1-of-4 shooting.

Randy Foye had 23 points and six three pointers for the Jazz (26-22). Paul Millsap added 18 points and eight rebounds.
