Denver, Colo. – If you are a fan of offensive oriented ball games, tonight's game was for you. There wasn't much defense played as two offensive minded coaches in George Karl and Terry Stotts locked heads.
In the end, it was the Denver Nuggets who outscored the Portland Trail Blazers at the duration of 53 minutes 115-111 at the Pepsi Center, making it the Trail Blazers' eighth consecutive loss in this building.
This was also the first time the Trail Blazers (20-18) have lost in overtime this season. They were 5-0 in overtime up to this point.
Danilo Gallinari led the Nuggets (24-16) with 25 points. Ty Lawson had 24 points and 11 assist. Kenneth Faried gobbled up 21 points and 11 rebounds.
LaMarcus Aldridge played a stellar all-around game on his way to 28 points and eight rebounds. Nicolas Batum added 22 points, seven rebounds and seven assist. JJ Hickson collected his 12st double-double of the season – 19 points and 13 rebounds in 34 minutes of action. Damian Lillard put in 14 points, eight rebounds and eight assist. Wesley Matthews had 14 points, five rebounds and five assist.
