Oakland, Calif. – It was a homecoming event for Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers and unfortunately for him, he showed up to tonight's game against the Golden State Warriors alone.
Lillard had a career-high 37 points on 15-for-24 shooting, in which Lillard had 12 points in the third and 12 in the fourth. However, not including Lillard, the Trail Blazers' starters shot a combined 13-for-45, resulting in a 103-97 loss to the Warriors at Oracle Arena.
Trail Blazers starters: Batum had 16 points (5-for-11). Aldridge put in seven points (3-for-14). Hickson contributed seven points (2-for-5) and 12 rebounds. Matthews added 10 points (3-for-15).
The Trail Blazers were playing their second game of a back-to-back and it showed in their shooting percentage (38 percent). The Trail Blazers barely surpassed their season-low of 15 second-quarter points with 16 and their season-low of 33 points in the first half by scoring 35.
David Lee led the Warriors with 24 points and 10 rebounds.
