Point guard Pierre Jackson out of Baylor is scheduled to work out for the Portland Trail Blazers on June 17, a league source informed CSNNW.com.
Jackson, 21, was projected as a mid second round prospect before strong workouts in New Jersey this week rose his stock to the point that he is being labeled as a first round talent.
Aside from their No. 10 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, the Trail Blazers have three second round picks -- 39, 40 and 45.
Jackson appeared in 36 games during his senior campaign and averaged 19.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 7.1 assists. The 5-10 guard is fresh off of leading his team to the NIT Championship over Iowa.
