Several LPGA players and sources as well,  close to the LPGA,  have told Crawford's Clubhouse and CSNNW.com that the LPGA Tour stop in Portland, Oregon will return to Columbia-Edgewater in 2013.

Tournament Golf Foundation., the managing group for the LPGA Tour stop in Portland has been looking for a new golf course to host the tournament after the four year run of the tournament at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club ended.

The last time the tournament was held at Columbia-Edgewater was 2008, before moving to Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club for its four year run.

One LPGA player told CSNNW.com tonight that, "I think most players on our Tour love Portland, so wherever we played would be just great. We loved Pumpkin Ridge and we will be thrilled to be back at Columbia-Edgewater, a place so many of us are familiar with and just love playing. I personally can hardly wait until August."

After a 17 year run as the Safeway Classic, as of now the 2013 tournament, will be called, "The LPGA Portland Classic," presented by Safeway. The dates of this year's tournament will be August 29th-September 1st, a 72-hole event. An official announcement on this is expected soon, by all participants.
