RAPID REACTION: Saint Mary's defeats Portland Pilots, 60-38, In Sloppy Game

Portland, Oregon---St. Mary's used a lockdown defense and some terrific play from all-american guard Matthew Dellavedova to easily defeat the Portland Pilots, 60-38. 

Portland could never get untracked offensively, scoring a season low 38 points.

For the game, the Pilots shot 23 percent, 10 of 43 and committed 18 costly turnovers.

St. Mary's which shot 42 percent for the game was led in scoring by Portland's own Stephen Holt with 13 points and Portland's high scorers were Kevin Bailey,Thomas van der Mars and Oskars Reinfelds all with seven points.

The Pilots next are in action on Thursday night, January 24th against San Francisco. The game will be shown on Comcast SportsNet.
