Nick Aliotti: Refs don't understand football
Coach Aliotti, while answering questions about this weekend's upcoming game vs. WSU gets a little distracted with his thoughts on the refs.
We've seen it before, we see it now. PAC-12 officiating is on a very short leash and under a very big microscope. Some point at the Oregon-Oklahoma game of 2006 as a "beginning" to the poor conference officiating, but it's been going on far longer than that and continues to be amplified with social networking fueling the fire.
This season, with the debacle in Tempe for ASU-Wisconsin, then with Stanford-Utah this past weekend in addition to back to back to back replays to begin the Oregon-Washington game, set the tone to irritate both fan bases Larry Scott, who overhauled the officiating program, still hasn't worked out all of the bugs. And he's certainly not winning over any of the coaches, especially Nick Aliotti.
WARNING: What Aliotti says is the honest truth...
