Should Lyerla have been suspended?
It has been a long week for Colt Lyerla. First he was sick, then he was thrown into the fire, then the water seems to have smoothed over just as quickly as it had bubbled. The Oregon tight end, obviously disgruntled over the way new head coach Mark Helfrich "hung him out to dry" during his postgame press conference in which he said Colt was not with the team due to "circumstances" led to the tight end talking without consent of the Oregon media department to Jason Quick of the Oregonian. He broke "the code". So, even though he already missed a game, is there merit to penalizing him by suspending him for violation of team rules? The Talkin' Ducks panel weighs in:
