The University of Oregon men’s basketball team got its first commitment for the recruiting class of 2015.

Kendall Small, a 6-foot guard announced his commitment to the Ducks via his twitter account earlier today.

Small will be a senior next season at Mayfair High School in Lakewood, California. He is listed as a four-star recruit. The Ducks will have one more scholarship to give for their 2015 class because of Ben Carter’s decision to leave the program.

The Ducks graduated Johnathan Loyd who has since joined the football team at Oregon. They will have plenty of options at the point guard position with Dominic Artis, who will be a junior in the fall, and incoming recruits, JaQuan Lyle and Casey Benson.

Benson was named Player of the Year in Arizona and led his team to the state title.

Lyle is a big-time recruit for the Ducks, he was a five-star recruit and one of the top unsigned players in the country when the Ducks snatched him up.
