Eugene comes alive in the fall. University of Oregon campus is vibrant, the air is crisp, and Autzen Stadium roars on Saturdays. Oregon fans walk the beautiful path over the foot bridge and under the trees to find Autzen ready for an ear-shattering crowd of 54,000 people.

Duck fans will call it the best stadium ever, opponents have named it the loudest venue to play in, and experts just ranked Autzen the third best college football stadium and game day atmosphere in the nation.

AthlonSports tabulated ballots from a panel of 15 experts ranging from Bruce Feldman from Fox Sports, Zac Ellis from Sports Illustrated and Travis Haney from ESPN. The basis of rankings depends on the media expert; some value tailgating experiences, some applaud traditions and others care about the home-field advantage. Here were the results:

1. Tiger Stadium: LSU 120 points

2. Ohio Stadium: Ohio State

3. Autzen Stadium: Oregon

4. Kyle Field: Texas A&M

5. Bryant-Denny Stadium: Alabama

6. Notre Dame Stadium: Notre Dame

7. Neyland Stadium: Tennessee

8. Sanford Stadium: Georgia

9. Husky Stadium: Washington

10. Beaver Stadium: Penn State

LSU's Tiger stadium received first place after going through a major upgrade this offseason. Ohio Stadium, or The Horseshoe, was the only stadium picked on all 15 ballots.

Oregon's high-tech stadium and athletic facilities landed Autzen at third. Media experts agreed Autzen was underrated among most fans, and received votes on 13 of 15 ballots. AthlonSports said, "Oregon finishing third in the overall rankings might be the biggest surprise of the voting."

Autzen stadium beat out some of the top SEC venues including the Aggies' Kyle Field and Alabama's Bryan-Denny Stadium.

Also noteable- recently renovated Husky Stadium is the only other Pac-12 venue ranked in the top 10 best stadiums in college football. Husky Stadium landed at ninth nationally.
