Caldwell-Pope: Breaking Bread w Blazers
Georgia guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is one of the top, select NBA prospects to have been invited to the green room at the NBA Draft on June 27, a league source informed CSNNW.com.
Caldwell-Pope's name wasn't included in a list of prospects reported last week to have received invitations, but the league notified him of the invitation last week, the source said.
Kentucky center Nerlens Noel, Indiana guard Victor Oladipo, Georgetown forward Otto Porter, Maryland center Alex Len, UNLV forward Anthony Bennett, Kansas guard Ben McLemore, Michigan guard Trey Burke, Syracuse guard Michael Carter-Williams, Lehigh guard C.J. McCollum and Indiana center Cody Zeller were the only players reported last week.
The stock of Caldwell-Pope has skyrocketed since the Chicago Pre-Draft Combine. The 6-6, 20-year-old shooting guard has almost certainly cemented himself into a lock to be a top 10 pick come Thursday.
During his sophomore season last year, he averaged 18.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
