The lottery-projected shooting guard out of Michigan State Gary Harris is scheduled to work out for the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers during the first week of June, sources informed CSNNW.com.
Harris, 19, one of the premiere wings in this 2014 NBA Draft Class, departed school following his sophomore season in which he averaged 16.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 35 games for the Spartans.
The Lakers own the No. 7 pick while the Suns hold picks No. 14, No. 18, and No. 27 in the first round. Both teams desperately need a young, promising two-guard on their roster. Kobe Bryant is on his last legs and Phoenix is without a shooting guard ready for significant playing time.
Harris, who stands 6-4, isn’t expected to fall outside of the lottery. The 2014 NBA Draft is June 26.
