Trail Blazers vs. Lakers
The Portland Trail Blazers (16-23) and Los Angeles Lakers (15-26) square off for the second time in the past week. The Blazers and Lakers tip-off at 7:30 on Tuesday night on CSN.
It was Thursday of last week, when the Trail Blazers beat the Lakers at Moda Center, 118-109. In the win, Portland shot 53.1% as a team. Damian Lillard returned from a sprained left ankle in that game against the Lakers. Lillard had 21 points and 10 assists in his return. D’Angelo Russell dropped 22 points to lead the Lakers on Thursday night.
Since Thursday’s win over the Lakers, Portland lost in double-overtime to the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. Despite CJ McCollum draining a three-pointer at the end of regulation to take the game to overtime, the Blazers were not able to secure the victory. McCollum also scored all eight of the Blazers points in the first overtime. He finished the night with 35 points. Sunday night was a big night for Allen Crabbe as well. Crabbe scored a new career-high, 30 points, in the loss. His previous career-high was 27 points that he had scored on December 26th, 2015 vs. Cleveland.
As for the Lakers, LA has played twice since their loss to the Blazers last week.
The Lakers are riding a two-game winning streak with a 127-100 home victory over the Miami Heat on Friday night and a 111-95 win over the Orlando Magic at Staples Center on Sunday night.
